Effective October 1, 2010, per State Statute 468.631 and 553.721, the Dept of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) and Department of Community Affairs (DCA) fees will now be collected on all permits that are governed under the Florida Building Code. The total surcharge is 3% of the permit fee charged. Minimum fee is $4.00. The square foot calculation will no longer be used.
