The Delray Beach Youth Council.....Preparing the youth of today for the leadership roles they will fill tomorrow...... since 1995 by giving them a VOICE and a VOTE on youth related issues.
Since its creation, the members of the Delray Beach Youth Council has strived for a teen center. In 2002, the dream came true with the opening of 505 Teen Center. It includes a skate park, kitchen, pool tables,table tennis, TV, DVD, playstation, and basketball.
Meetings are held for the Delray Beach Youth Council on every other Wednesday at the 505 Teen Center. The meetings are run by the peer elected officers. There are many opportunities for community service hours within the Youth Council. This includes but are not limited to
- Caring Kitchen
- First Night
- School Showcase of the Arts
- July 4th Patriotic Bike Parade
- Paint Up Delray
- Dances and Basketball Tournaments
- Christmas Toy Drive
- Create a Float for Annual Christmas Parade
- Garlic Fest
- Coke Sale Fundraisers

Graduating seniors have the opportunity to apply for scholarships as well as internships for summer jobs. There are currently several leadership positions to fill for the upcoming year. They are:
- Officers
- Executive board members
- Committee chairs
- Appointees to Community Councils including Education Board and Chamber of Commerce.
