Perform mechanical and service work on all City vehicles, trucks, and other equipment such as: front ends; four wheel brake job; tire replacement/repair; electrical repair; tune-ups; carburetor/fuel injection repairs; drive train repairs; diesel repairs/minor service. Pick up and deliver vehicles to various vendors. Repair parts on vehicles and equipment.
Perform general maintenance and repair of fixed and portable generators, as well as, other City equipment as required. Perform preventative maintenance. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Lift articles weighing more than 50 pounds.
Supervise and coordinate the daily work of personnel engaged in the water/sewer network, distribution, maintenance and repair and/or surveillance activities. May monitor telemetry and other associated functions. Order necessary parts and materials. Maintain records and prepare reports, address complaints and perform public relations. Assist in preparation of division budget, monitor expenditures and aid in proposing budget forecasts.
