"Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting"
The Government Finance Officers Association (G.F.O.A.) of the United States and Canada awards this certificate to municipalities for their Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (C.A.F.R.). A certificate is valid for a period of one year. In order to be awarded a certificate, a governmental unit must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized Comprehensive Annual Financial Report whose contents contorm to program standards. These reports also need to to satisfy both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable legal requirements.
The City of Delray Beach Finance Department has received the "Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting" for 24 consecutive years since 1983.
"Distinguished Budget Presentation Award"
The Government Finance Officers Association (G.F.O.A.) of the United States and Canada presents an award for Distinguished Budget Presentation to municipalities for their annual budget documents. The award is valid for a period of one year. In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan and as a communications device.
The City of Delray Beach Finance Department has received this Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for 21 consecutive years since 1986. |
