
The City of Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department has boat storage spaces available on the north end of the beach for sixty sailboats.
The existing permit holders will be able to renew their permits at the Delray Beach Community Center, 50 NW 1st Ave., starting October 1 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. Any remaining permits will be sold beginning November 10, 2008 to Delray Beach residents.
All boats must exhibit a properly attached valid permit by Monday, December 1, 2008 or the boat will be removed from the beach. The boat owner shall pay all costs of towing and storage before the boat will be released.
The cost of the permit is $200.00 plus sales tax for a total of $213.00. Before you purchase a permit your boat MUST be inspected by Bob Taylor, Ocean Rescue Superintendent. Registrants must provide proof of City residency by a valid residency card. No other documentation will be accepted.
