Volunteer Program
The Parks and Recreation Department offers many opportunities for interesting volunteer experiences. Coaching young people, assisting with community events, and gaining valuable work experience while meeting other people who share your interests are a few examples of how volunteers play an important role.
Events and Programs
Our volunteers participate in the following events and programs.
- Kidsfest (October)
- Turkey Trot 5K Run & Health walk (November)
- Santa's Calling (December)
- Senior Games/Olympics (January/February)
- Easter Egg Hunt, (March/April)
- Family Fun Fishing Day (May/June)
- Youth Athletics (ongoing)
- Ribbon Cuttings (as needed)

Administrative Assistance
Volunteers may choose to provide assistance with administrative work, such as data entry, filing, copying, and other general office duties (computer experience necessary: spreadsheets).
