Volunteer Support Services
As with any organization of our size, from time to time our own Volunteers need help. Our Volunteer Support Services Division is here to foot the bill. Whether it's visiting a Volunteer in the hospital, helping transport a spouse, assisting with funeral arrangements, ANYTHING that our Volunteer needs - we will attempt to help. We are proud to be what we believe is the only police department in the country to have established a non-profit, 501c3 corporation, with the sole purpose of helping our Volunteers in need. Through private solicitations, we offer financial support to those Volunteers falling on hard times. Whether the need is for medication that one cannot afford; insurance deductibles after a hurricane or tornado; or simply a few dollars for gasoline while an out-of-work Volunteer drives around looking for a job - whatever the need, we will be there for our Volunteers.
