Mission Statement: To provide for the public, safe, efficient design, design review, construction, inventory, maintenance and operation of the City's infrastructure systems.

The mission of the Storm Water Utility, which is part of the Engineering Division, is to inventory, operate, and maintain the City's storm water drainage systems and to insure compliance with City Commission policies and the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit requirements.

The City of Delray Beach is performing sea level rise vulnerability assessment of the seaswalls throughout the Intracoastal Waterway and adjacnet tidal canals. The City has hired Aptim Environmental and Infrastrucure, Inc to survey the elevations of every seawall and select stormwater outfalls within the City. The survey will take place between February and March 2018, during normal business hours. They survey crews will come by boat and access each seawall for approximately five minutes. The cooperation of all residents is requested. If you have any questions please call City Project Manager, Jefferey Needle, P.E. at needlej@mydelraybeach.com.
