Parks and Recreation Department Mission Statement:

The Parks and Recreation Department will enrich the quality of life for the people of Delray Beach by providing significant recreational opportunities in exemplary park environments.

Parks and Recreation offers a variety of programs, activities and special events to everyone in the community as well as guests and visitors. Parks and Recreation maintains over 40 parks and recreational facilities including two pools, a splash park, athletic fields, skate park, and one and a half miles of public beach that is guarded 365 days a year.

Summer Camps in the City ~ Starts as early as June 5.  Basketball, Catherine Strong Park, Skate Camp, Junior Lifeguard, Tennis, Cheer, Pompey Park and Community Center, Lacrosse
JULY is Parks and Recreation Month ~ Events going on all month

Day-After Beach Cleanup ~ July 5, Beach Pavilion on A1A and Atlantic Ave and along the beach.

All People's Day Meetings of "Discovering Our Connections" ~ Free at Pompey Park one Saturday a month leading up to All People's Day Diversity Festival

“Pac-Man” Bike Parking Rack Appears at Teen Center

 ~ There are a few interesting new creatures now located at the “505” Teen Center on S.E. 5th Avenue.
The Park and Facilities Catalog recently donated a “Pac-Man” custom bike rack to the Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department and it’s now available out
