HistoricMarkers
Delray Beach is proud to be home to many Florida Historical Markers. The Florida Historical Marker Program recognizes significant historic resources, persons and events.

In 2007, the City submitted a matching grant application to the State Historic Preservation Office to assist with the funding of 10 Markers. The City also partnered with the Community Redevelopment Agency, Delray Beach HIstorical Society, Delray Beach Preservation Trust, and EPOCH, Inc. for additional assistance and support. The City's grant request was approved, and the Markers were installed in early 2010. The Markers are further enhanced by landscaping provided through a grant awarded to the City through Keep Palm Beach County Beaufitul.

Be sure to check out the Delray Beach Historic District Markers brochure. Please note that the brochure is formatted to fit on 8.5"x14" paper.

NOTE: The Marker at Nassau Street and South Ocean Boulevard has not been installed. The Marker at SE 2nd Street and South Swinton Avenue was hit by a vehicle and needs to be repaired prior to reinstallation.
