Funding to purchase the three (3) new trolleys was provided through a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) grant ($300,000 - which includes operational costs) and the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), $550,000. All of the new trolleys are ADA compliant (American with Disabilities Act) and will provide efficient, comfortable service throughout the downtown area.  In addition, the City has partnered with the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) to provide $75,000 per year, on a 2-year trial period, for trolley service between Tri-Rail, the downtown core area and the Municipal Beach. It is expected that a long term partnership will be developed, which would continue to provide necessary funding to assist in efficient dependable commuter opportunities in Delray Beach.

The Downtown Roundabout is sponsored by the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency.
