The City of Delray Beach is implementing its new VoIP (VOICE_Over_IP) telephone system this week. Cutover to the new system will occur on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
911 will NOT be affected during the cutover but the Police Department administrative lines will be interrupted. In addition, telephone service to City departments, excluding Fire-Rescue and Environmental Services, will be interrupted.
Once the new telephone system is LIVE on January 19, direct dial numbers to Delray Beach City Hall, Police Department, Environmental Services and the City Attorney's Office will remain the same; however, certain City telephone numbers and extensions will change. Please listen carefully to the auto attendant prompts to ensure connection to the desired department.
NOTE: If you do not connect to the City telephone dialed on the first try, please hang up and dial the number again.
The City appreciates the public's cooperation and patience while the cutover is in progress. For more information, contact the City of Delray Beach at (561) 243-7190.
