Purchase a Flood Insurance Policy Today!

The City of Delray Beach is a participant in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), a federal program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that allows property owners and renters to purchase flood insurance for their building and/or its contents.  There is usually a 30-day waiting period for flood insurance to take effect. Call your insurance agent today or go to www.FloodSmart.gov, or call 1-888-379-9531 to find an agent and to find out more about protecting your property from rising waters.  You should consider the purchase of flood insurance whether your property is in a Special Flood Hazard Area or not.
