The City of Delray Beach on the front line to help regulate substance abuse services
DELRAY BEACH, FL March 14, 2017- City of Delray Beach Mayor Cary Glickstein and Commissioners are urging Delray Beach and Palm Beach County residents to contact their state legislators to support House Bill 807 and Senate Bill 788, which addresses the practice of substance abuse services.
"We recognize how severely the opioid crisis impacts our City, and we want to make sure our residents know that their Elected Officials, City staff along with law enforcement and fire rescue are proactively working towards a solution," says Mayor Glickstein.
In addition, the City continues to work diligently with State Elected Officials, local drug task force and support members of Congress in an effort to combat this issue.
Most recently, Mayor Glickstein and members of the Commission went to Tallahassee where the Mayor addressed lawmakers at the Florida Legislative session during Palm Beach County Days and interviewed with WPBT Your South Florida to help inform the public.

UPDATE: March 23, 2017 - Mayor Glickstein was requested by the House and Senate Bill Committees to return to Tallahassee to give additional testimony on House Bill 807 and Senate Bill 788.
